Artist Page Setup:

Once you are logged in, you will see additions to the Artist Tools menu above. From here you can go directly to your artist page, click on Artist Admin and you'll see your artist page, just as visitors see it, but with an "edit" button that allows you access. Click and then choose "Update your Profile

First, upload a profile picture, you'll figure it out, just follow the instructions. Then go to each tab and add content- the editors are WYSIWYG, using Word-like tools, and take HTML (click on "Source" in the toolbar). Make sure and detail out your profile with your bio, location and instrumentation.

The more detail you add to your profile page, the better. For example, the "Intro" tab gives you a space to put a pithy quote, and you can put a small picture there as well.

The "Press" tab allows you toput a few pithy quotes, doesn't have to be press, obviously - it displays to the right of your picture. Note: you can put HTML in this field, use the WYSIWYG tools in the editor to add and format your text, add pictures, etc

The "Blog" tab allows you to add articles willy-nilly. Access it from "Artist Blog Admin" link in the user menu or from the blog tab when you are logged in and on your profile page

The media player allows you to upload mp3s that play when folks hit your page; you can choose if the tracks are downloadable. Click on "Submit New MP3 File" and follow the prompts to upload tracks.  File size is limited to 8M per track.

IMPORTANT: Load ONLY MP3 files...

The "Video" tab just needs the URL of your video, you can put up several, and it also shows up in our main "music video" area.

The "Get Music" tab is where you put a link to where folks can get your music- We do have a affiliate relationship with CDBaby, so if you put in links to them, please let us know so we can add our affiliate tag.

NEW My RSS tab: If you've got a feed you want to publish, add the link here. Maybe you have a blog, your own or one on a service like MySpace-  you can grab the URL of the feed and be "published"  automatically. RSS is the WAY you are going to get your story out in the near future, DO THIS if you have a blog!

A "Contact the Artist" tab shows up for everybody but the logged in artist, doesn't reveal your email address.

Tip: Whenever you see the WYSIWYG editors, you can add pictures and format them to taste- use the "add image" button below the editor box

New artists please upload at least one MP3 for efolkMusic to promote, you can upload up to 4 tracks.  We will use this track to get your music into more ears, via our samplers, newsletter (goes out to 21,000+ monthly), RSS/Podcast feeds, and our "Member MP3" area: Click here or on the "MP3 Upload" link in the artist tools menu. (NOTE: this is separate from the media player on your artist page
